Let your milestone number be the feature of this charming card! Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, wedding anniversary, grade promotion or 1st place, this stamp set has got you covered! My favorite is the “AGAIN” sentiment which I will use for all my future birthdays – 29 (AGAIN!). The inside has the word “sweet” stolen from another stamp set and stamped on the banner. Are you ready to get started?
I used a half sheet of white cardstock to make a card base that was 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ when closed. The base for this color scheme was Daffodil Yellow cardstock. The next layer came from the Brights Collection Designer Series Paper Stack using the red flowers cut 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered with tape runner. The top layer is white cardstock cut 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. I stamped 3 of the leaf stamp across the bottom half of the white cardstock. Then I stamped in the flowers with Real Red and Yellow Daffodil. The numbers were stamped in Night of Navy ink then cut out with the Large Numbers Framelit dies. They can also be cut out by hand if you don’t have a Big Shot or want the framelit. I cut strips of dimensionals from the edges of the Stampin’ Dimensionals sheet to pop up the numbers. Be sure to cut them narrow enough so they don’t show on the front. I added the “Look Who’s Turning Sentiment in Real Red, then attached a folded strip of navy ribbon to the white cardstock in the corner with a bow paper clip. Then attach the stamped layer to the card with pop dots.
The envelope is lined with yellow patterned paper from the Brights Paper Stack. It was cut using the envelope liner framelit as shown in the video. When I need to save paper, I only cut the top part of the envelope liner, just long enough that it goes into the envelope. I also find it’s easier to attach the liner when I put tape runner on the actual envelope flap, just inside the glue that you lick to close it. It seems to be easier to get the liner inside before it sticks to the flap.
