Mad About Plaid Christmas Cards

Mad About Plaid Christmas Card by Lynda Falconer at lyndafalconer.stampinup.netI’m mad about this plaid Christmas card.   It’s so much fun you can’t make the same card twice!  The Wrapped in Plaid 6 x 6″ Designer paper does all the talking and the coordinating print on the back is the perfect compliment!

Layer Cherry Cobbler card stock on the Whisper White card base, then choose from the crazy variety of plaid papers for the top layer.  You’re going to love the glimmer of gold woven into each plaid for a classy finish!   Adhere a 1″ strip of  coordinating polka dot 1 1/4″ from the top of the card. Next stamp a 3 1/4″ x 2″ Whisper White Stitched Shape Rectangle with “Merry Christmas” from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set using Cherry Cobbler ink.

Do you LOVE a good punch?  The Pine Tree Punch will not disappoint!  In fact, I suspect it may become a long time favorite of many crafters!  Closeup of embellishment on Wrapped in Plaid Christmas Card by Lynda Falconer at lyndafalconer.stampinup.netPunch a tree out of gold foil then pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, embellish with a Toile Tidings Glitter Dots and tie linen thread around the tree trunk.

Inside Counts

Don’t forget the inside of this beautiful card.  A simple stamped sentiment and Christmas tree is all you need.  The stamp set has 4 trees to choose from, including a plaid tree!  But this sweet tree caught my eye and became my favorite.  Stamp it as many times as you want or keep it simple – both methods give perfect results.
