Valentine for a Friend
This valentine was Meant to Be. I’m still unpacking my lighting so forgive the quality of the photo but it is really stunning in real life. It’s the perfect valentine for a friend! It uses some of my favorite new products from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and will certainly bring a smile to your favorite valentine. The card is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4″ with a layer of All My Love Designer Paper (to die for!!!) measuring 5 1/4 x 4″ on top. The next layer is another of the All My Love DSP in a beautiful Lovely Lipstick Red with a simple dotted diagonal stripe. This piece measures 5 x 3 3/4″.
Race for the Lace
The white lace embossing is created with Whisper White Cardstock and the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. We have to talk about this folder! It’s one of my favorite things in the Occasions Catty. I spritzed a piece of white cardstock measuring 4 3/4 x 3 1/2″ with water and ran it through the Big Shot in the Lace Embossing Folder. The result is stunning. I am anxious to try the folder with a plain white card – the embossing is all it would need!
Be Mine Stitched Framelits
The detailed heart is not to be outdone. The Be Mine Framelits offer lots of options for hearts and heart-like embellishments. I stole the sentiment from the Needle & Thread Stamp Set because it was perfect for a valentine for a friend – not too lovey dovey! There’s a framelit in the coordinating framelit set that would be perfect for the sentiment. But I used the old standby from Petal Passion framelits. Cut it out in two different colors. Stamp the sentiment on pink then cut the red one in half. Spread the sections apart so they stick out to frame the sentiment. Finally add the baker’s twine bow and silver heart. The heart is actually a clear epoxy heart colored with a silver Sharpie.
