Stamp Club Z Card with Petal Promenade

Healing Hugs Z Card using Petal Promenade DSP by Lynda Falconer at www.lyndafalconer.stampinup.netThis elegant Z card was featured today at my July Stamp Club online meeting.  It was my first Facebook Live Stamp Club Meeting!  I have a lot to learn but the viewers were very kind!  I hope to figure out how to add the video to my YouTube Channel soon.   Meanwhile, here are the details you’ll need to make this Blooming Beautiful Z-card.

Petal Promenade Steals the Show

The star of the show is the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper which is part of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free paper pack sale during July at Stampin’ Up.  Get more details on the sale at

The card starts with a 5 x 7 inch rectangle of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock.  Score the long side at 1 3/4″ and 3 1/2″ and crease the folds with a bone folder.  On the card front, fold  the outside half back to form a Z card.  I couldn’t wait to try my Stitched Label Framelit Dies so I ran the front edge through the Big Shot to add the stitching element.  Then the same front panel was stamped randomly with the realistic looking leaf from Healing Hugs Stamp set using my new favorite green ink – Granny Apple!

What’s Inside?

Cover the inside of the card with a 3 1/2″ x 5″ piece of the Petal Promenade flower paper of your choice.  I used the sheet with peach and white roses that had the pretty berries on it.  Then I cut 2 large circles with the large Stitched Shapes Framelits circle – one with Whisper White cardstock and one with Calypso Coral Cardstock.  The Calypso Coral circle was stamped with a Get Well Soon sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink and accented with a Grapefruit Grove colored pearl.

Next I stamped the beautiful rose with Grapefruit Grove ink  and the double leaf twice with Granny Apple Green ink on white cardstock.  These are new Distinctive Stamps – a copyrighted process by Stampin’ Up that makes stamps with photographic like images.  So cool!  I daubed a little Calypso Coral ink around the edges of the rose to give it more dimension and fussy cut both the rose and the leaves.  I also cut 2 large leaf branches from the Petals & More Thinlits with Granny Apple Green and Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  You can use any greenery thinlits you have to get the same look.

To assemble the front embellishment I layered Closeup of embellishment on Healing Hugs Z Card by Lynda Falconer at www.lyndafalconer.stampinup..netthe large leaf branches, the small stamped leaves, then the rose on the white stitched shape circle using tape runner and dimensionals.  The leaves were folded slightly down the center to make them stamp up.  A 12″ length of tulle polka dot ribbon tied in a bow was adhered to the rose edge with a glue dot. The circle is attached to the card front with Score Tape on one side only.  The sentiment circle was attached to the card inside directly under the front circle.  Finally, Grapefruit Grove pearls embellish the card front and rose center.

Don’t forget the envelope!  I attached a 5″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle of the rose paper to the outside envelope flap and trimmed it the size of the flap for the perfect accent.
