You’ll fall hard for this simple card with the perfect colors to welcome autumn! With temperatures still in the 90’s, we’re all hoping a cool front is in our near future! I gave away my favorites with the paisley paper on the front, but substituted another design in the same paper pack here. The directions are for the paisley paper which I think you’ll like even better. Of course you can substitute any papers you have to get a similar effect.
Use a 3 1/2″ x 5″ crumb cake card base and matching envelope with papers from the Petals and Paisley Designer Series Paper Pack. Cut a paisley rectangle 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ and daub the edges with crumb cake ink to give the card a distressed look. Also distress the front of the crumb cake card base. Cut a copper foil paper strip 3 1/2″ x 1″. Use tape runner to adhere a 4 1/2″ piece of Striped Honey Dijon ribbon to the center of the copper foil strip, tucking and securing the ends of the ribbon around the ends of the copper foil strip. Use Fast Fuse or score tape to adhere the strip to the card as shown. Punch a 1 3/4″ scallop from Honey Dijon card stock. Punch a 1 1/2″ circle from Night of Navy card stock. Use the flower from the Flourish Thinlit Dies to cut the flower out of gold or copper paper. Adhere flower to navy circle and embellish with an enamel dot in the center. Adhere navy circle to scallop, then scallop to copper strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it extra dimension. Finish your card by lining the envelope with a coordinating paper from the Petals and Paisley paper pack.
This card is quick and easy to make and is a great design for almost any theme or paper. Paisley is a big trend for FALL and the papers in this set have beautiful fall colors that will make you want to wear sweaters and drink spice tea! So take a few minutes to make this Fall Flourish card and spread the warmth of sending home made cards!
