Make Multiple Cards with 1 Design

Multiple Cards – One Design

Do you know how to CASE?  In Stampin’ Up World, CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything!  You can use a card you see here, or on Pinterest, or you’ve made in class and change a few things to make multiple cards with 1 design.  I’ll be sharing several cards in the coming week that were CASED from this card I found Card I CASED from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine .in Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine.  When you CASE you can change the color scheme, stamp, embellishments, papers, orientation – almost anything to get a totally different card without having to design it from scratch.  In the Get Well Card above I kept almost the exact same layout, but changed the papers, sentiments, and embellishments.  The result is a beautiful, feminine card very different from the original Hello card.

Instructions

The CASED flower card starts with a Whisper White card base measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  The striped section measures 1 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ cut from the Brights Collection of 6 x 6″ Designer Paper.  Cut the flowered section  2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″  from Petal Palette Designer Series Paper.  Then layer the pink marbled banner on next topped with strips of polka dot tulle and pink metallic ribbon.  Stamp “Comfort & Healing to You” or your favorite sentiment on Whisper White Cardstock in Grapefruit Grove Ink and punch it out with the Pretty Label Punch. That sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set – always a good standby.   To get the pink backing on the sentiment, punch a second label out of Petal Pink Cardstock.  Then cut it apart horizontally down the middle and spread it slightly to frame the sentiment as shown.  Finally, embellish the card front with Artisan Pearls and a Faceted Gem Button.

On the Inside

Inside of Petal Promenade Get Well Card by Lynda Falconer at www.lyndafalconer.stampinup.netMomma always said “It’s whats inside that counts”!  Although she was talking about my character, it still holds true!  Be sure to make the inside of your card as pretty as the outside.  It doesn’t take much extra effort, but will show the recipient how much you care – better than Hallmark!  I stamped the beautiful rose from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set in Grapefruit Grove Ink then embellished it with pearls of the same color.  The sentiment matches perfectly!
