My Favorite Stamp Set is Retiring!
This card will certainly make anyone feel better about the fact that the Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set is retiring in June! It’s been my favorite ever since the Occasions Catalog came out in January. It was so much fun to create my own designer paper by stamping the beautiful images from the stamp set at random.
The soft color combination of Grapefruit Grove and Smoky Slate is so soothing. The card base measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and is Smoky Slate Cardstock. The largest framelit in the new Stitched Rectangle Framelits cuts the grapefruit layer and gives it the smart stitching on the finished edge. Now the fun begins with a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of white cardstock.
Stamping Bloom By Bloom
Stamp an assortment of flowers and dots randomly across the paper, stamping off the edges where needed. Start with the largest blooms in the Bloom By Bloom Stamp set, leaving ample space between blooms. Add smaller blooms, dots, leaves, etc. as desired until you are pleased with the results. Do the same with the envelope flap.
The sentiment comes from the Humming Along Stamp set. It is also a retiring stamp set so get it now if it strikes your fancy. I love all the sentiments and images in this set. The bird and flower are stunning when colored with blends markers or water colored. The sentiment is stamped in Grapefruit Grove Ink and cut out with the 2 inch stitched circle framelit using the Big Shot Machine. Back it with a slightly larger foil scalloped circle and Smokey Slate circle.
Assemble the card by adhering the layers as shown. Add a strip of white organza ribbon and white tulle polka dot ribbon to the stamped white cardstock before attaching the sentiment layers with Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise it off the card.
